Phonetic is such a fun class! We have a really great teacher, Doris, who has a great sense of humor and has so much patience with us. We all laugh our heads off as we try to make sounds that we never knew we could!
Usually, the faces that we make with these sounds are the best part! This face is a pretty boring one... you can't even see my tonsils!
We are learning the International Phonetic Alphabet, and need to know how to make all the sounds on the chart above. It feels like we are just learning how to spell an entirely new alphabet! Here is an example of words written phonetically:
